How to operate a diesel forklift includes: pre-start inspection (oil, brake, etc.), standard starting steps (neutral, clutch and throttle coordination), operation during driving (gear selection and fork control), loading and unloading safety (fork height and balance), and flameout process (turn off after idling and cooling). ‌
Detailed operation method
1. ‌Pre-start inspection‌
‌Oil and equipment status‌: Check whether the coolant, engine oil, and fuel are sufficient, confirm that the battery electrolyte level is normal, and the tire pressure and lighting functions are intact. ‌
‌Safety device‌: Make sure the parking brake is tightened and the shift lever is in the neutral position. ‌
2. ‌Starting steps‌
‌Standard operation‌:
Press the clutch pedal with your left foot, lightly press the accelerator with your right foot, and pull out the choke (gasoline engine) or press the start button (diesel engine) at the same time. ‌
After starting, keep idling for 1-2 minutes, gradually release the clutch, and avoid stepping on the accelerator hard.
‌Low temperature start‌: The engine needs to be preheated in severe cold weather, which can be achieved by heating water or cranking. Open flame preheating is prohibited.
3. ‌Driving and loading and unloading operations‌ ‌Gear control‌:
Forward/reverse: Push the left joystick forward to move forward and pull it back to move backward; the right joystick selects the gear (1st or 2nd gear). ‌ ‌Fork adjustment‌:
Lifting: Press the upper left joystick down to raise the fork, and push up to lower the fork; Tilt: Press the right joystick down to raise the front end, and lift up to lower the front end.
‌Safety regulations‌:
The height of the fork should not exceed 2/3 of the whole vehicle. It is necessary to tie it tightly when transporting tall and large goods; it is prohibited to carry people with the fork or turn around on the slope. ‌ ‌The goods should be evenly distributed on the two forks. When blocking the view, reverse and drive at a low speed.
4. ‌Shutdown process‌
The diesel engine needs to run at idle speed for a few minutes to cool down, and then turn off the combustion switch; the gasoline engine can be turned off directly, but it needs to idle briefly at high temperatures.
After parking, place the forks flat on the ground, reset the shift lever to neutral, and tighten the handbrake.

Prohibited Behaviors: Overloading, single fork operation, slope U-turn, parking with the forks suspended in the air, etc.
Maintenance Requirements: Regularly check the diesel forklift lubrication system to avoid starting more than 3 times in a row.
